Vivo Y71i With Snapdragon 425 SoC and Android Oreo to Launch in India at Rs 8,990

Vivo Y71i is the latest entry-level offering from the Chinese brand Vivo. While the company hasn't officially confirmed the launch of the handset, Mumbai-based retailer, Mahesh Telecom posted the news of Vivo Y71i launch in India along with its price tag and spec-sheet. As mentioned, the Y71i is an entry-level handset carrying a price tag of Rs 8,990. As the name itself suggests, the Y71i is a downgraded version of the Vivo Y71 that was unveiled back in April at the price of Rs 10,990. Vivo hasn't made many changes to the spec-sheet of the Y71i when compared to the Y71, except for the RAM and internal storage.

Vivo Y71i Specifications and Features

According to the spec-sheet posted by the retailer, the Vivo Y71i will be a downgraded version of the Vivo Y71 and comes with slightly less RAM and internal storage. The Y71i has just 2GB of RAM while the Y71 arrived with 3GB of RAM. The Y71i has the same 5.99-inch HD+ display on the front, carrying a resolution of 720x1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Vivo is calling this display as a Full View display.

At the heart of the phone, there's the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC mated with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Like the Vivo Y71, the Y71i also comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. Cameras on the Y71i includes an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture on the rear, and a 5MP snapper is present on the front side with f/2.2 aperture. The camera app offers features such as HDR mode and AI Beauty features.

This device is backed by a 3360mAh battery and it runs FunTouch OS 4.0 out of the box built on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone also ships with Face Unlock functionality because it lacks a fingerprint scanner.
