Vivo Y69 With 16MP Moonlight Selfie Camera and Live Photo Feature Launched at Rs. 14,990

Chinese smartphone vendor, Vivo has launched yet another smartphone in India. Dubbed as the Vivo Y69, this is a mid-range smartphone launched earlier today for Rs. 14,990. As seen with Vivo’s other smartphones, the Vivo Y69 is a selfie centric smartphone with unique camera modes like Bokeh, Group Selfie and Live Photo.

The Vivo Y69 will be available in Champagne Gold and Matte Black colours across the country from September 1, 2017, on Flipkart and Amazon and at stores near you.

The Vivo Y69 has a 13MP rear camera, which brings photos to life by creating a moving image with Vivo’s first-ever Live Photo feature. This feature is same as the Apple’s Live Photo feature. Also, the particular group selfie mode captures a wider view with minimized lens distortion. The 16MP moonlight selfie camera is paired with f/2.0 aperture to deliver insane selfie images.

Commenting on the launch of the device, Mr Kenny Zeng, CMO, Vivo India said “We are pleased to introduce the Y69 in the Y series product portfolio and are confident that its premium design and superior camera features will offer great value to customers at an ideal price point. With the festive season around the corner, we are committed to fulfilling our brand promise and adding a surprise element for our valued customers with innovative devices. The forthcoming quarter shows real promise, and we are confident that our latest offering will gather positive responses from the customers.”

Talking about other specifications, the Vivo Y69 has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, with a 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The device comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The newly launched Vivo Y69 smartphone comes laden with FunTouch OS 3.2, built on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphone has a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button. Lastly, the phone comes with a 3000mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver battery life of one complete day.
