Vivo has launched a new affordable 5G smartphone in India called the Vivo Y29 5G. It is an entry-level 5G phone meant to cater to the masses. The device features a HD+ resolution display with support for 120Hz refresh rate. It is available in four different memory configurations and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. There's a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side of the phone. It has a dual-camera setup at the rear and is available in three different colours. Vivo Y29 5G will be available for customers in four different memory variants - 4GB+128GB for Rs 13,999, 6GB+128GB for Rs 15,999, 8GB+128GB for Rs 16,999 and 8GB+256GB for Rs 19,999. The colour options are as follows - Diamond Black, Glacier Blue, and Titanium Gold.

Vivo Y29 5G Specifications in India

The Vivo Y29 5G comes with a 6.68-inch LCD punch-hole screen with support for HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. This is in line with what smartphones at this price range offer to the customers. There's a 50MP primary sensor at the rear with a 0.08MP auxiliary lens and a dynamic ligth LED flash. For selfies, there's an 8MP sensor at the front.

Vivo Y29 5G will run on Android 14 based FunTouch OS 14 out of the box. The Vivo Y29 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of  RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device packs a 5500mAh battery with support for 44W rapid-charging.

It has IP64 rating, meaning it will come be dust and water resistant. The device is 5G supportive and should work well with both Airtel and Jio's 5G.
