Vivo V11 Pro: 5 Ways How it Outsmarts the Oppo F9 Pro

Follow Us

Vivo will be launching its V11 Pro mid-range smartphone in India tomorrow. The company has been teasing the features of the handset a lot in recent times, including the design, in-display fingerprint scanner, Halo FullView display, internal hardware and so on. The V11 Pro will not have a spec-sheet as good as the Xiaomi Poco F1, but it does compete with the likes of Nokia 7 Plus and the Oppo F9 Pro. Both Vivo and Oppo are the sub-brands of BBK Electronics, and they release a new smartphone with similar specs and design and board. But this time around, the V11 Pro will outsmart the recently launched Oppo F9 Pro by a considerable margin. Here are the five known features which will help the V11 Pro gain an upper hand when compared to the Oppo F9 Pro.

1) In-Display Fingerprint Scanner

Vivo is still the only manufacturer to offer in-display fingerprint scanners on its smartphones in India. The Vivo V11 Pro is the third smartphone from Vivo to launch with under display fingerprint scanner in India; The other two are Vivo X21 and the Vivo Nex. The V11 Pro will be the first smartphone under Rs 30,000 to offer the feature and its counterpart Oppo F9 Pro has a rear-mounted physical biometric scanner.

2) Super AMOLED Display

The Vivo V11 Pro is expected to sport a massive 6.4-inch display on the front, but unlike the Oppo F9 Pro's LCD panel, Vivo will be shipping Super AMOLED display with the V11 Pro. For the unaware, AMOLED screens offer excellent colours and deep blacks, way better than the IPS LCD display. What's similar between the Oppo F9 Pro and Vivo V11 Pro is the Halo FullView display on the front, which has a tiny Essential Phone-like notch on top of the display.

3) Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE

Unlike the Oppo F9 Pro which ships with the same MediaTek Helio P60 as the Oppo F7, the Vivo V11 Pro comes with Qualcomm's best mid-range chipset available right now in India- the Snapdragon 660. Vivo is using the Snapdragon 660 AIE processor inside the V11 Pro, which means the phone will offer various Artificial Intelligence-based features to enhance the user experience. The chipset will be paired with 6GB of RAM.

4) Better Dual Rear Cameras

As for the cameras, the V11 Pro will have an advantage over the Oppo F9 Pro because the cameras will have Dual Pixel technology on the rear side. The V11 Pro is rumoured to sport a primary 12MP shooter coupled with a 5MP depth sensor. On the front side, the device will rock a 25MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Vivo will also offer a software-based Face Unlock functionality.

5) Design

The Oppo F9 Pro is a good-looking smartphone and it explains how keen Oppo is in designing its phones. The Vivo V11 Pro will have a glass back, which gives different shades when tilted. The same is the case with Oppo F9 Pro, but the V11 Pro's shade appears only on the rear bottom.
