The development will benefit residents, businesses, and the 250,000 tourists who visit annually, including those exploring nearby Dunstanburgh Castle.

Virgin Media O2 worked with Atlas Tower Group to deliver the new site, which the operator says has been welcomed by the local community, including Northumberland County Council, Craster Parish Council and other key community groups.

Starlink Satellite Backhaul for 4G Connectivity

The new mast uses a Starlink satellite backhaul to provide 4G connectivity in the remote area, which currently lacks fibre infrastructure. Later this year, the mast will be upgraded to 5G once fibre networks are installed.
