The entry level smartphone scenario is heating up quite fast is India for the simple reason that people are moving on from feature phones to smartphones. In a bid to gain some share of this potential market, Videocon has launched an entry level device, named the A24 for Rs 4,699.

Videocon a24

The A24 runs on the latest version of Android, 4.2 Jelly Bean and has a dual core processor under the hood which makes things quite interesting as these are two things that you would hardly find at this price point.

Detailed Specifications of Videocon A24:

· 4.0 inch WVGA display unit.
· Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
· 1.2GHz dual-core processor
· 256MB RAM
· 512MB internal storage which can be further expanded with the help of a memory card by another 32GB

Price of Videocon A24 : Rs 4,699

Our Take: The Videocon A24 misses out on 3G but then you can not get everything at this price point as well. It is the device you should be looking out for if you plan on upgrading from your feature phone soon. At Rs 4,699 it makes for a great value for money device and it is the best your money can buy at this price point.
