Viacom18 launches English channel Colors Infinity to showcase Hollywood content

Viacom18, a joint venture between Viacom and Network18 plans to launch a new English Channel Colors Infinity that will feature Hollywood content from Warner Bros, International Television Distribution, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Television, Twentieth Century Fox, Lionsgate, MGM, the BBC and Endemol Shine etc.

Color Infinity will be on air by the end of July and will offer a strong competition to Star World, HBO, AXN and Zee Café, which is now the popular entertainment channels on the similar line. Viacom18 already has a bunch of entertainment channels in its banquet, including Comedy Central India, VH1 India, MTV India, Nick and its prime channel Colors.

Besides Hollywood movies, Color Infinity will also showcase biopic and documentaries. The HD version of the channel will also be available. Bollywood stars Karan Johar and Alia Bhat will be the content strategists and brand ambassadors of the new channel. The advertising plans and other marketing strategies will soon be in shape by the end of this month.
