TCL bids big with TCL 950 with 5.5-inch AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 820

After the launch of TCL 520 smartphone, TCL has announced two more flagships called TCL 950 and TCL 580 in China. The smartphones are priced at 3299 Yuan (approx. Rs. 30,000) and 1399 Yuan (approx. Rs. 13,937) respectively.


TCL 950 Specifications:

Among the two, TCL 950 is the high-end variant, featuring a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display of 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB with microSD. It runs Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out-of-the-box.

Another highlight of TCL 950 smartphone is its 21MP camera with dual-tone LED Flash, SONY IMX230 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and 4K Video recording. There is also an 8MP snapper in the front, with /2.2 aperture, 1.125um pixel size, 84-degree wide-angle lens. The phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C connectivity options.

This hybrid dual-SIM smartphone also has Fingerprint sensor, Dual speakers, Dual NXP Smart PA amplifier chip, and 3.5mm audio jack. A 3000mAh battery completes the package. It supports Quick Charging.


TCL 580 Specifications:

TCL 580, on the other hand, is a 5-inch smartphone featuring an HD AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 64-bit processor paired with Mali T860 GPU. There is a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. Placed at the rear of TCL 580 is a 13MP camera with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF. In the front, there is a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. For connectivity, TCL 580 supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. Fingerprint sensor, NXP Smart PA amplifier chip, 3.5mm audio jack are the other specifications to look forward to in the smartphone. A 2460mAh battery completes the package.

Both TCL 950 and TCL 580 are available in Gold and Silver color options. The availability in the international markets are not known.
