Last time we heard from Tata Sky, the DTH provider was launching new smart packs for its subscribers. However, now the DTH player has come up with a handful of new “Lite” packs which will cater to the regional audience from various parts of India. These local language packs have been spotted by some subscribers of Tata Sky on the Tata Sky app, and so it seems that they are already available for subscription. The packs bundle a few pay channels which the subscribers will be able to add on top of their existing channel selections. Here are more details about the new “Lite” packs.

New Lite Packs by Tata Sky

The first pack in this list of new additions is the Telugu Lite pack. Tata Sky has given this pack a price tag of Rs 46, and in total the pack will cost the viewers Rs 199 inclusive of NCF, pack charge and taxes. This Telugu Lite pack will bundle 17 channels for the subscribers. Similarly, all the other Lite packs by Tata Sky have been priced at Rs 46, but with the NCF and taxes, the total cost of these packs comes out to be Rs 199 individually. However, it is worth noting that all the packs in this list contain a different number of channels.

Next up, in the list of “Lite” packs, we have the Tamil Lite pack, which bundles ten channels, the Kannada Lite pack which bundles 21 channels and Bengali Lite pack which bundles eight channels.

Tata Sky Smart Packs, Mini Packs and Flexi Annual Plan

On similar lines, Tata Sky also has introduced smart packs for subscribers which are all differently priced depending on regional languages, channel count and more. Some of the Tata Sky Smart Packs include Hindi Smart plan of Rs 249, Punjabi Smart plan for Rs 249, Gujarati Smart plan of Rs 249, Bengali Smart plan of Rs 220, Odia smart plan of Rs 211, Marathi Smart plan of Rs 206 and Telugu Smart plan of Rs 249, Kannada Smart plan of Rs 249, and, Malayalam Smart plan of Rs 249.

When going on the lower pricing spectrum, Tata Sky has something called as “mini-packs” for the subscribers which come at a lower rate, offer a handful of channels for topping up your main subscription with a few channels of your choice. The HD mini packs, however, might set you back by a little more than the standard prices.

When it comes to offers, Tata Sky is currently shipping the Annual Flexi plan for its customers. The Annual Flexi Plan by Tata Sky can be thought of as a substitute to the long-term plans which other DTH providers are offering. In this offer, subscribers will have to deposit their entire years’ worth of subscription amount in their Tata Sky account, after which they will get the benefit of a free subscription for a month in the year-end.
