TATA DoCoMo Launches Double Data Benefits on Selected 3G Data Plans

Tata DoCoMo, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices takes a new customer friendly attempt to see 3G goes mainstream. Tata Docomo has introduced new 3G packs with double data advantages for its GSM subscribers in Karnataka.

Currently 3G market base is growing, but very slowly. Tata Docomo's latest plans with double data benefits can change the mindset about 3G being costly.

Tata Docomo has released four new plans under this new scheme:
1. Rs 22 for 300 MB, 3 days validity
2. Rs 39 for 300 MB, 7 days validity
3. Rs 90 for 600 MB, 30 days
4. Rs 255 for 2GB, 30 days

All new data packs can be activated via EVD, SMS, USSD, WE, OBD and TIPPS. Customers can pull the balance available into the pool account by sending BAL to 121.

Announcing the new packs, Mr Yatish Mehrotra, Hub Head-South, Tata DOCOMO said “Focused on user experience Tata DoCoMo’s new 3G data prepaid plans are affordable and simple. They reinforce our position as a pioneer in introducing innovative and value for money offers for its valuable customers The double data advantage has effectively removed the artificial price barriers to 3G by making it available at 2G prices.”

If you are from Karntaka circle, Tata Docomo's latest 3G plans are best value for money. Right now Airtel, Vodafone and Idea offer 1GB 3G data for Rs 250, and 1GB 2G data for 95. Airtel/Vodafone/Idea offer 1GB 2G data for Rs 125. Tata Docomo offers 3G data on the same price almost. So these new plans are from Tata Docomo remains cheapest for new customers.
