Domestic brand Swipe has announced a new tablet, namely, the Swipe Slate Pro in the country. The Swipe Slate Pro is priced at Rs 8,499 and will be exclusive to Flipkart. This tablet will be up for sale starting tonight and it offers decent specifications with the highlight feature as 5000mAh battery.

The Swipe Slate Pro is made out of plastic and flaunts a 10.1-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Internally, the tablet is powered by an unspecified 1.1GHz quad-core processor, which is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.

Sadly, the Slate Pro runs the dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The tablet has support for 4G LTE, VoLTE, and accepts dual SIM cards. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and micro USB port for charging and transfer of data.

Cameras in the tablet include a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie camera, and the entire package is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery, with no mentioning for fast charge support.

Mr Shripal Gandhi, Founder and CEO of Swipe commenting on the launch said, “Swipe has always been amongst the top Tablet and Smartphone brands in India by providing consumers with the affordable technology. Keeping the user convenience as the primary importance, Slate Pro has been designed for the young professional and working students.
