Sun Direct is now offering its Set-Top Boxes at a starting price of Rs 1,799. Sun Direct, which is the popular DTH service provider across South Indian states, is currently offering two types of Set-Top Boxes to the customers. Similar to other DTH operators, Sun Direct has an SD+ Set-Top Box and a premium HD+ Set-Top Box, priced at Rs 1,799 and Rs 1,999, respectively. Right now, Airtel Digital TV and Tata Sky are providing the cheapest Set-Top Boxes in the industry, whereas Dish TV, D2h and Sun Direct are on a similar range. Sun Direct does not have a strong foothold in North India, but in states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, it’s giving a tough competition to the top guns like Tata Sky and Dish TV. Sun Direct is also providing decent channel packs to the subscribers in various regional languages.
