SPPL Launches Three New KXPRO Kodak Smart TVs With Digital Surround Sound, OTT Apps and More

The Kodak brand licensee, SPPL, or better known as Super Plastronics Pvt. Ltd. has announced today that it will be furthering the XPRO line-up of TVs with the launch of KODAK 434KXPRO, 50 4KXPRO and 55 4KXPRO TVs. SPPL has been in the consumer electronics market for quite a long time, and today the brand is celebrating three consecutive years of selling KODAK HD LED TVs. Some of the highlights of these new TVs include 1GB of RAM and up to 8GB of internal storage. These TVs also extend support for OTT applications, and SPPL will be retailing them at a very attractive price point.




Indian Smart TV Market to Grow With 30.2% CAGR

Quoting 6W Research, SPPL has also noted that the Indian Smart TV market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 30.2% by 2024. The research credits this rise in the sale of smart TVs to a number of households with access to the internet, booming e-commerce industry and the increase in purchasing powers of the customers. In addition to this, initiatives like Digital India and rising awareness of smart TVs in the tier-2 and tier-3 cities also seem to be driving this growth in the consumer electronics market.

SPPL has also noted that this festive season it is expecting a sale of 2 lakh units of Kodak HD TVs with a vision of acquiring 7% market share for SPPL. Mr Avneet Singh Marwah, Director and CEO, Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd remarked about this, “We are delighted to announce the expansion of Kodak XPRO HD LED TV series. We have always marked our efforts proactively to support the demands of our customer. Thus, we have come up with these 4K models, and recently we have started a new production line at our Noida facility with a production capacity of 3000 units in a day, and we will be offering 2-3 variants in every quarter”.

Kodak KXPRO TVs Specifications and Features

The first model launched today includes the KODAK 43KXPRO TV which comes with a display resolution of 3840 x 2160, and it runs on the Android Open Source 7.1.2. This is also a smart TV from Kodak, and it will be delivering an Audio Output of 24W. When it comes to sound, the TV will deploy Digital Surround sound, Total Volume, Total Surround, Dynamic sound surround and Feather sound. Also, in terms of hardware, the TV will boast of a Quad-Core A53 CPU with Mali – 450MP multi-core. Further, this TV will also be able to support OTT applications like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar, Zee5, Voot, YUPP TV, Sony LIV and Eros Now. There will be two more sizes available in this line-up which will come with the same specifications. These will include the 50-inch, KODAK 50 4KXPRO TV and the 55-inch KODAK 55 4KXPRO TV. While the 43-inch TV will allow Cast and AirPlay as the means of supported devices for casting, the other two bigger variants will not support AirPlay.
