Telecom operators are busy preparing for the nationwide 4G LTE rollout and smartphone manufacturers are busy launching budget 4G LTE handsets. Spice Mobiles has joined the list too by launching the 4G LTE enabled Stellar 519 in the country for Rs. 8,499. The smartphone also happens to be the first handset from its stable which has a 64-bit chipset.
The Stellar 519 comes shod with a 5-inch FWVGA display. A 720p display would have been welcome instead of this. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat (we would have liked it better had it been Android 5.0 Lollipop). There's an 8-megapixel camera at the rear coupled with a LED flash and a 3.2-megapixel front camera.

The smartphone would have put forth a strong case for itself had it been launched about six months ago but the things have changed now. You can istead go in for a Lenovo A6000 Plus, Lenovo A7000 or YU YUREKA which come across as much better devices at the same price point. The smartphone will be available across all leading retail stores, Saholic.com and Spice's own Hotspot retail outlets.
