Just looking at the last two offers: 1. A dual band router. As on date, cheapest available on Amazon is TP-Link C20 for ?1599 2. Chromecast is listed at ?3399 pm Google’s official site, while Amazon fire stick costs ?3999 on Amazon India. Going by this, the ?5008 down payment for Spectra fastest entertainment is just about same cost as price of Dual Band router + Chromecast And ?5362 for fastest premium is in fact ?236 less than cost of Dual Band router + Fire stick. This does sound like a steal, considering for the deposit amount you’re getting two… Read more »

Are u crazy or what? Spectra’s offer of 1 Gbps for true unlimited for Rs. 1249 + gst (not 1700 but around Rs. 1500) is the lowest in India and probably cheapest in the world. Can u name even 1 ISP which has a better offer in India? No ISP has for so long promoted true unlimited as Spectra has. I have personally used it and can vouch that they are true on their promise of speeds and unlimited data. Stop this nitpicking and being so fussy.

The 1249 plan costs 1474 with tax as I have been using it since a month. And it can easily achieve 950Mbps on a good ethernet card and fast SSD.

Kartik, thanks for sharing the info. Could I know what make ethernet card you are using? Do you connect directly via CAT cable from pc to CPE? Is the devices you’ve received a fiber modem dual band router combo?
Sorry for too many questions 🙂

I have integrated realtek gbe lan on motherboard. From cpe to router cat 6 cable is used, and then cat5e cable from router to PC. The router is D link DIR 825 AC with max speed of 867 mbps in wifi

Hey guys, my cable guy asking Rs.5000 for broadband installation and the plan is also costly (40GB at 5Mbps with 512kbps after FUP speed for Rs.599). Should I take it or BSNL broadband which is much cheaper?

@Abhishek you need to consider two things b4 taking BSNL BB.
1. location of dp box. how far it is from you home. If it is too far ,say more than 400 mts, then you gonna face latency issue.
2. bribe the cable man for 5 pair cable. it will give you stable connectivity.

if the two conditions satisfy, go for BSNL. It is the best

Don’t fall for this very limited data on BB with Gbps speed won’t make any sense if you are heavy user like you do work on PC or use wifi on smart TV then you’re left with 1 mbps post fup LOL

I don’t have any option. I live in a village.

First make sure your area has good wireless or wired connection, then only take particular connection.

Eg: in my area Jio sucks even though in I am delhi (maybe my phone don’t have CA). But we have a lot of isp pfoviders
, Mine is a local isp but but neighbors has ecxitel and den, and all works pretty good.

Go for BSNL or use jiofi. 5000 is waste.

no that plan isnt worth. BSNL broadband is much better as you’re gettin 8Mbps, and 1/2Mbps after the fup.
