Recently, Sony Xperia Z4 was quietly announced by the company in Japan, and it didn't excite us due to its similarities with the Sony Xperia Z3. Some reports suggested that the Xperia Z4 is an exclusive launch for the Japanese market and that Sony will bring an all new device for the rest of the world. Now, an upcoming smartphone from Sony, the Xperia P2, has been leaked, complete with specifications and renders.
If the information in this leak turns out to be true, the Sony Xperia P2 would feature a 5.2-inch TriLuminos display with full-HD resolution, 1.9 GHz Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a humongous 4,240 mAh battery. In the imaging department, a new 12-megapixel camera with OIS, RAW image capture, and 4K video recording will do the job. There will be a 5.1-megapixel front-facing camera with 1080p video recording. Even with all these high-end features, the Sony Xperia P2 will be 10.9 mm thin at its thickest part, and will have tiny bezels on the sides of the display.
The Xperia P2's design will have a transparent plastic strip below the display, just like its predecessor, the Xperia P. However, you should take this report with a pinch of salt as it might be a fan-made concept.
