The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has been officially announced by the company today, and the higher mid-range phablet features a 6-inch edge-to-edge display and a 13-megapixel camera on the front accompanied by an LED flash.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra features a 6-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, and a large 2,930 mAh battery. There's a 13-megapixel camera on the front as well as the back, both accompanied by LED flash lights for better images and videos in low-light conditions. Both the cameras feature wide-angle cameras that have an ability to record full HD 1080p videos.

Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, and other usual features. The device is quite thin at 8.2 mm, but weighs a hefty 187 grams, and is available in three colours; Black, Soft Mint, and White. Sony is yet to announce the official price tag for the device, but going by its specifications, it seems like a higher mid-range smartphone. The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra sure looks like an attractive device going by its specifications, but we'll wait for its official price tag for India before commenting on its value.
