Smartron, the country’s OEM company today announced the launch of all-new Gold Edition of its budget Smartron t.phone P. Until now, the t.phone P was available in a single Black colour option, but going forward, it will be available in two colour options. The new Gold colour variant will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting on April 22. The t.phone P is one of the best budget smartphones in terms of battery life. If you’re looking for a great battery smartphone around Rs 8,000, then you should check out the t.phone P. Also, Smartron did not increase the price of the new colour option, and it’s still the same at Rs 7,999.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC and comes with a 5.2-inch HD display with 16:9 aspect ratio. The Xiaomi Redmi 5, which is available at the similar price comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. Additionally, with the tronX integration users can additionally get a 1000 GB of free tcloud storage so that they never have to delete anything from the device.

The device boots Android Nougat out of the box and rocks a 13MP rear camera & 5MP front-facing camera. The t.phone P comes with a fingerprint sensor which is placed at the back, but it doesn’t offer the Face Unlock feature. The fingerprint scanner also allows users to take pictures and answer calls with a tap. Smartron is expected to rollout Android Oreo update to the smartphone very soon.
