Samsung Unveils Thinnest Mobile Tablets GALAXY Tab10.1 & GALAXY Tab8.9Samsung today announced two tablets at CTIA 2011. Galaxy Tab 8.9 and a new thinner Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Both tablets run Android 3.0 Honeycomb with TouchWiz 4.0 user interface.




Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 are the thinnest mobile tablets available as of now both the Tab 10.1 and Tab 8.9 are thinner and lighter than the iPad.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs 595 grams and 8.9 weighs 470 grams, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 measures 230.9 x 157.8 x 8.6mm & new Galaxy Tab 10.1 now measures 256.6 x 172.9 x 8.6 mm.

The battery on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is 6800mAh and on Galaxy Tab 8.9 is 6000mAh.Both are said to provide 10 hours of video playback.Both tablets feature 1GHz dual-core CPUs and Flash Player 10.2 and Quickoffice HD editor come preinstalled.

Both tablets have microSD slots, 3.5mm headphone jacks, and SIM slots,although there will be WiFi versions of both of them. The two tablets have the same array of cameras, which includes a 3 megapixel shooter with an LED flash on the back and a 2 megapixel lens on the front.

The 16GB version of Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi will cost $499 and the 32GB $599. And the 8.9 is $469 (16GB version) or $569 (32GB). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available on 8 June
