Samsung Started Pushing Android 7.0 Nougat Update for Galaxy A5 (2017) in India!

Samsung recently rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphone in India. And now, the smaller variant, the Galaxy A5 (2017) started receiving the same Android 7.0 Nougat update. For the unaware, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) were launched in India in March 2017 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board.

As reported by Sammobile, the update for the Galaxy A5 (2017) in India weighs 1385.98MB in size, and upgrades to firmware version A520FXXUBQI5. The update brings in some much-needed features to the smartphone including the all new user interface. The update also adds new features such as Samsung Pass and Dual Messenger.

As you can see in the screenshot, this update addresses several existing bugs in the smartphone related to notification centre and quick settings menu. Samsung also made some changes to the Always-On display feature.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) was initially launched in India for Rs. 28,490, but it’s now available for Rs. 22,900. The standout feature in the smartphone is the IP68 water and dust resistant properties. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with a resolution of 1080*1920 pixels, carrying a pixel density of 423 PPI. The difference between the Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017) is the screen size and battery capacity.
