Samsung the leading mobile handsets giant today launches Android powered Galaxy Spica 3G mobile phone in the Indian market.

The Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 is an upgraded version of its earlier set, Samsung Galaxy i7500. The classy and stylish new handset featured with a 3.2 inch HVGA touch screen display along with GPS, HSDPA 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi connectivity. Apart from that, it runs with Google mobile services in it.




The new smartphone is equipped with an 800MHz processor and 128MB of RAM so we can expect speed. Galaxy Spica will of course update all the data services like Google-mail, calendar, documents, etc., in real time, allowing you to always keep our finger on the pulse. The Spica will also support Microsoft ActiveSync that makes it easy to synchronize e-mail between the smart phone and a PC.

The handset has a 3.2 MP camera and 3.5mm headset jack. More to it, the Android based phone is provided with MicroSD card slot and expandable memory option support up to 32GB. The users will be delighted with its multimedia scheme of things covered with the set. Apart from that, this is the first Android based phone with native DivX support.

Samsung Galaxy Spica provides an exceptional multimedia experience by supporting DivX for the first time on Android-powered phones to eliminate the hassle of file format conversions. Equipped with DNSe 2.0 for better sound quality and 3.5 mm ear jack, the Galaxy Spica offers the fully comprehensive multimedia feature set. Moreover, a long enough battery life (1500mAh) allows its users to enjoy all the applications and multimedia content. The phone also boasts its slim and compact design with mere 13.2 mm thickness.

The Samsung Galaxy Spica supportsthe full suite of Google services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Talk, letting users enjoy the familiar desktop computer experience while on the move.

The Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 will be available in India at price point of Rs. 15,000.
