The leaked images of the handset (probably a prototype) show a Galaxy S8-like design with the fingerprint sensor placed next to the camera setup on the rear. The device seems to come with a single rear camera alongside a dual tone LED flash. According to the images, the S8 Active with the model number SM-G892A will allegedly flaunt a 4,000mAh battery, which is quite impressive. This is definitely an upgrade from the Galaxy S8 with 3,000mAh battery and even the Galaxy S8+ with 3,500mAh battery.

Besides that, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Type-C USB port, a noise-canceling mic, and a speaker grill on the bottom of the handset. The volume rocker and the power/lock button are to the left of the device while a SIM slot that doubles as a microSD card slot sits on the right side.

Going by the leaked images, the upcoming S8 Active will come with a display of the same size as the S8’s 5.8-inch unit. What stands out in terms of display is the absence of curved edges, but then again we could write it up as a durability requirement.
