MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2015 is nearing and a lot of information about smartphones, which are expected to be announced at the event, has been leaked. Almost all the details about the most anticipated upcoming smartphones – Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 has been leaked. The latest leaked images show us the probable design of the Samsung Galaxy S6, further reaffirming the rumour that it will feature a glass and metal design, a first for any Galaxy S series smartphone form Samsung.
As per the leaked image, there would be two variants of the Galaxy S6; a variant with a normal display, and a variant with a dual-sided curved edge display. It is evident from the image that the curved part of the Galaxy S6 Edge's display doesn't appear to be as curved as on the Galaxy Note Edge. Also, the camera sensor seems to be protruding out of the body, and according to a leaked schematic, the device will be just 6.91 mm thin, similar to that of the Apple iPhone 6. You can also see that there are two separate buttons for increasing and decreasing the volume, unlike the single volume rocker from the Galaxy S5. The home button, which also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor, appears to be larger, which might point towards a touch-based fingerprint sensor, similar to that of the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 6, and the iPhone 6 Plus.
Both the devices will feature similar hardware specifications except the difference between their displays. The Galaxy S6 is expected to feature a QHD Super AMOLED display, an octa-core 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor, Mali-T760 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 16-megapixel primary camera with 4K video recording, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, TouchWiz UI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and LTE Cat. 10 connectivity. Samsung has already sent out media invitations to the official announcement of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, which will take place on March 1 2015.
