Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Could Take Design Inspiration from iPhone 17 Pro

Samsung, a South Korean tech giant, will launch the Galaxy S27 Ultra in the first quarter of 2027. There are still several months left for that. The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is said to take design inspiration from the iPhone 17 Pro. Many credible tipsters have suggested that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a back design which was intially expected to be for the Galaxy S26 Edge. However, Samsung has reportedly cancelled the launch of the Galaxy S26 Edge. The new design would likely be only reserved for the Galaxy Ultra phone in the S27 series. Take a look at the image below.

Is Samsung Copying Apple?

Samsung could be copying Apple for its designs. There were initially rumours that Apple will launch its foldable in a different aspect ratio, and when the renders surfaced online, Samsung moved fast to launch it earlier. Thus, came the Galaxy Z Fold 8. It has a very different aspect ratio than any other foldable available in the market. Apple is expected to launch a similar aspect ratio.

Further, if the above is true for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, then Samsung is further doubling down on copying the design the iPhones. Apple has always been one of the trendsetters when it comes to design. Take the iPhone Air for example. Since Apple launched the iPhone Air, other brands have also been launching phones with a similar design. Honestly, being a tech enthusiast, I would love to see Apple bringing a new design again soon for the iPhones. But more than that, I want Samsung to not copy Apple and try to innovate on its own. Nothing, for example, does its own thing when it comes to design. That helps the  company in standing out in the market.
