Note that Samsung is more likely to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the Galaxy S25 Ultra than its own Exynos chip. This is because of the difference in performance capabilities of the said chips.

According to the data shared by Gizmochina, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ listed on Geekbench scored 2359 in single-core scores and 8141 in multi-core scores. The scores were uploaded on November 5, 2024. The device was running on Android 15 and had 12GB of RAM. The Exynos 2500 has a 10-cire CPU architecture, clocked up to 3.3 GHz. It features Samsung’s Xclipse 950 GPU, based on AMD’s RDNA architecture.

In the scores department, the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Exynos 2500 are very different to each other. In the CPU test, Snapdragon 8 Elite scored 3033 in single-core and 9271 in multi-core. There is a significant difference in both multi-core and single-core scores, suggesting that the Snapdragon 8 Elite is more powerful than the Exynos 2500. Samsung's Exynos series of chips has always been slightly behind its major competition Qualcomm. It will be interesting to see if Samsung also launches the vanilla Galaxy S25 and S25+ with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in select markets. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will definitely be the most powerful smartphone from Samsung in 2025 owing to the chip it is expected to carry.
