Samsung is enjoying decent success with its three flagship phones– the Galaxy S9, S9+ and the Note 9 this year. But honestly, all the three phones are iterative upgrades to last year’s flagship phones. So the pressure is now on Samsung to make its 2019 flagship smartphones appealing. That’s what Samsung is doing right now. Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone- the Galaxy S10 will likely arrive in three variants with different screen sizes. The Galaxy S10, going by current rumours, will come in 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch display models to take on the Apple iPhones. For the unaware, Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones tomorrow, and they will boast of a 5.8-inch, 6.2-inch and 6.5-inch displays.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Likely to Launch in Three Variants
Since the Galaxy S6 days, the South Korean company has been launching two flagships in the Galaxy S lineup. Firstly, it was ‘Edge’ devices; then the Edge moniker replaced with ‘Plus’ moniker. This year, the Galaxy S10 is said to come in three variants, but Samsung is yet to finalise the names of the variants though. Possibly, we might see a standard Galaxy S10, slightly better Galaxy S10+ and a premium Galaxy S10 Pro. As mentioned, the S10 could have a 5.8-inch screen, S10+ with a 6.1-inch screen and the S10 Pro will likely come with a 6.4-inch screen.
Samsung to Use Qualcomm’s Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner
Samsung is planning various new firsts for the Galaxy S10. While the top variant is expected to ship with In-Display Fingerprint scanner, the base variant is said to have a rear-mounted scanner. Now for the middle variant, Samsung is reportedly partnering with Qualcomm to make use of the chip maker’s ultrasonic fingerprint scanning technology.
