With pressure mounting on its head, Samsung has slashed the price of its budget smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt. The smartphone is available in two storage variants, and the new prices are Rs 9,990 for the base 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage model while the 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage model will retail for Rs 11,990. Both the phones were earlier available at Rs 10,490 and Rs 12,990 respectively. This is a much-needed price cut from Samsung. As of this writing, the new prices are only effective in the offline market as e-commerce portals such as Flipkart and Samsung Shop are still selling the phone for earlier prices itself. For the unaware, the 32GB variant was introduced at the end of 2017.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt Specifications and Features
Talking about the Galaxy J7 Nxt, the smartphone was launched in two variants back in July 2017. It offers mediocre hardware and comes with basic sensors such as the Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Proximity sensor, but lacks all the other sensors such as Gyroscope and Compass. Samsung has also added Samsung Pay Mini feature to the smartphone.

The Galaxy J7 Nxt sports a 5.5-inch HD sAMOLED display with a resolution of 1280*720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor and comes in two variants (as mentioned above). There's a microSD card slot in both the variants which allows you to insert an SD card with 256GB memory. The device boots Android 7.0 Nougat and Samsung did not reveal its plans to upgrade the phone to Android 8.0 Oreo.

The phone measures 7.6mm in thickness and weighs 170grams. It's a dual-SIM smartphone and comes with support for 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port. It is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery.

Cameras in the Galaxy J7 Nxt include a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. Even after the price cut, the Galaxy J7 Nxt is still an overpriced product, thanks to some excellent value for money options from brands such as Xiaomi, Motorola and Tenor.
