Samsung Galaxy J6 Gets New Update Which Brings Auto Brightness, Dual VoLTE Support

Samsung is bringing a new update to the Galaxy J6 users in India. The update is bringing a host of new features to the Galaxy J6 including the Dual VoLTE functionality. The key highlight of the update, however, is the auto brightness adjustment feature with the help of selfie camera. Until now, before the new update hit the Galaxy J6, this Samsung phone users had to adjust the brightness of the screen manually. But that’s not happening any more. Now, after the Galaxy J6 users have updated their phone to the latest update, all they will need to do to adjust the screen resolution is to use the selfie camera.

Samsung Galaxy J6 Gets Auto Brightness, Dual VoLTE Support

The update is rolling out to all Samsung Galaxy J6 users and soon after the phone gets upgraded to the latest update all the user will need to do to adjust the brightness is use the selfie camera. Alongside the auto brightness update, the new software update rolling out to J6 users brings Dual VoLTE support and also AR Emojis. With the coming of dual VoLTE support, the users of the Galaxy J6 will now be able to make VoLTE calls via both the SIM cards.

Until now, before the update hit the Galaxy J6, the users of the budget smartphone had to manually set up the brightness level depending on the surrounding light. Earlier, we reported that the Samsung Galaxy J8 also received the same feature. It looks like Samsung will push the same update to all the Galaxy J series smartphones going forward. The update brought the auto brightness feature, Dual VoLTE support and AR Emojis to the Galaxy J8. Right now, alongside the Galaxy J6, Samsung is also bringing this feature to the Galaxy On6.

Additionally, the update comes with December Android security update which brings several improvements and also bug fixes. The firmware update size is around 286MB and will be available to the users via over-the-air (OTA) update.

Samsung Galaxy J6: Specifications and Features

The Samsung Galaxy J6 was launched in India in the month of May this year. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Galaxy J6 comes packed with a 5.6-inch display with screen resolution of 720x1480 pixels. The phone is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. On the camera front, the Galaxy J6 sports a 13MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.9, while on the front it includes an 8MP front shooter for clicking selfies. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh non removable battery.
