The folks at Samsung is all set to make another release on 26 May 2016, Thursday. This time the launch event is scheduled at China, which hints a China-only launch. At the event, Samsung seems to takes the veils off its new Galaxy C series.
As per the earlier leaks, Samsung Galaxy C series is supposed to come in two variants – Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. The Galaxy C5 is the smaller variant among the two, with 5.2-inch ((1920×1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 617 (4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB ROM, expandable using a memory card. It runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow).
Regarding its camera specifications, Samsung Galaxy C5 is expected to feature a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera. In terms of connectivity, it will support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth v 4.1, and GPS. The smartphone may also have a fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy C7 is supposed to have similar specs but with a larger display 5.5-inch display and a 3,300mAh battery. An octa-core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU coupled with 4GB RAM may power the phone. Rest of the specs will remain same as that of Galaxy C5.
These new Samsung smartphones may come in gold, silver, pink and gray colors and are rumored to be priced at 1599 yuan (US$ 244 / Rs. 16,390 approx.) and 1799 yuan (US$ 275 / 18,440 approx.).
