Reliance JioFiber Preview Customers Might Get Free Service for Two Months

Mukesh Ambani led telecom operator, Reliance Jio, held its Annual General Meeting of shareholders on August 12. While the country had expected the launch of the Fibre-to-the-Home service on the day, Reliance Jio announced that it would be commercially launching the fibre-based broadband service on September 5. There is no doubt that the entire country is hyped about the launch of FTTH service from Reliance Jio and interested subscribers are awaiting the launch. However, while waiting for the Reliance JioFiber launch seems to be the conventional way of getting a connection, you can get a connection before the launch too and it could be beneficial in many ways. Reliance JioFiber Free Two Month Service for Preview Customers

Reliance Jio will be announcing the precise pricing of the JioFiber connection on the day of its commercial launch, i.e. on September 5. However, it is worth noting that even though the service hasn’t been commercially launched Reliance Jio is offering the preview connection to a lot of subscribers in select cities. Now you might already know a lot of details about the nuances of a Reliance JioFiber preview connection, but the best part about getting early access to Reliance Jio’s fibre service is that it could grant the subscribers free service for two months straight.

Reliance JioFiber Pricing: Security Deposit and Installation Charges

As per a Times of India report, the subscribers of preview offer of Reliance JioFiber will get to access the fibre-to-the-home services from Reliance Jio for two months straight without any monthly rental. Currently, under the preview offer, Reliance Jio is offering the JioFiber connection with a security deposit of Rs 2,500 upfront. However, in a new move, Reliance Jio also revealed that it would start charging Rs 1,000 as installation fees from subscribers. Meaning that now the subscribers’ security deposit would amount only to Rs 1,500 and the Rs 1,000 would be non-refundable installation charge. Currently, Reliance Jio is offerings its JioFiber previews services in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Surat, Vadodara, Chennai, Noida, Ghaziabad, Bhubaneshwar, Varanasi, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Surat, Agra, Meerut, Vizag, Lucknow, Jamshedpur, Haridwar, Gaya, Patna, Port Blair, Punjab.

Reliance JioFiber: What Do We Know So Far?

While the Rs 2,500 security deposit will get the subscribers a single band router and 50 Mbps connection, with a Rs 4,500 security deposit, the preview subscribers were able to get a double band router with speed of up to 100 Mbps. Also, during its AGM, Reliance Jio has already announced that the monthly plans for JioFiber would start at Rs 700 per month, whereas the higher end 1 Gbps plans would be available for Rs 10,000 per month. The specific pricing of the Reliance JioFiber plans would be announced on the day of the commercial launch of Reliance JioFiber. Till then, the subscribers can go for the preview offer of Reliance JioFiber.
