Reliance Jio Might Come Out With JioBook Very Soon

Reliance Jio was rumoured to unveil a Jio branded laptop alongside the JioPhone Next smartphone. However, the laptop that was rumoured did not make its way at the AGM this year. Now, fresh reports speculate that this laptop is all set to be launched sometime soon as it has been spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification database.

JioBook Laptop India Launch Details

As per the tipster Mukul Sharma, the JioBook laptop was spotted on the BIS certification website. Going by this claim, three variants of the laptop were spotted on the website. As per the tipster, the Jio laptop will arrive in three model designations as NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW and NB1112MM. These could be the different variants of the laptop in question. Besides the internal model designations, nothing much about these laptops are known.




When it comes to the launch date, pricing and availability of the JioBook laptop, the details appear to be a mystery for now. However, we can expect it to be a budget-centric laptop as the other Jio offerings. Earlier, it was tipped that this laptop could be launched at the Jio Annual General Meeting in June this year though it did not happen.

JioBook Laptop Rumored Specs

When it comes to rumoured specifications, the JioBook laptop is speculated to arrive with an HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Under its hood, the laptop is believed to use a Snapdragon 665 SoC with an X12 4G modem. This processor is said to be teamed up with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage space. The connectivity aspects of the laptop are likely to include dual-band Wi-Fi, a mini HDMI connector, and Bluetooth. It could arrive with a Qualcomm audio chip and a 3 axis accelerometer as well.

On the software front, the Jio laptop is likely to have the complimentary Jio suite of apps such as JioPages, JioMeet, and JioStore pre-installed in it. Also, it is speculated to arrive with Microsoft apps, including Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office pre-installed in it. Having said that, we need to wait for further details regarding the JioBook laptop to surface online.
