Reliance Jio further made its long-term voice and SMS-only plan cheaper by reducing the pricing and launching it as a revised plan. However, this time the plan doesn’t come with 365 days like earlier, and Jio has reduced the validity to 336, making the pricing change less meaningful. Also, as always, Jio updated the seasonal banner on its site with a Republic Day offer offering coupons for a yearly plan. Let’s check out the changes and plan benefits.

This plan includes unlimited voice calls and 1,000 SMS, all valid for 84 days. Additional subscription benefits include access to Jio Apps such as JioTV, JioCinema (non-premium), and JioCloud. Jio categorises this plan under its ‘Value’ offerings. The plan is now available at an effective price of around Rs 5 per day.
Jio Rs 1748 Voice and SMS Only Plan
Reliance Jio’s Rs 1748 plan now offers unlimited voice and 3600 SMS, all with a validity of 336 days. This is Rs 210 cheaper than the previous plan of Rs 1958, which used to offer 365 days. This means Jio trimmed 29 days of validity (around 1 month) and reduced the pricing, making the plan cheaper for customers as a long-term offer. This makes the plan available to customers at an effective price of Rs 5.20 per day. Additional benefits include access to Jio apps, such as JioTV, JioCinema (non-premium), and JioCloud. Jio categorises this plan under its ‘Value’ offerings.
