Most of the people across India will be wondering why Reliance Jio is still offering free 4G services for individuals who are not enrolled into the Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. According to a report by Telecomlead, Reliance Jio will stop offering free 4G services for the users who haven't paid yet.

The report cites that "from midnight onwards degradation of select none recharged customers will start. The customers will be a mix of different types of customers across all JCs. The sample size will be small tomorrow and will ramp up later.”

“Messages will be sent to these customers informing them of the degradation and urging them to recharge immediately. The message will say that all data and outgoing calls will be barred. In reality, outgoing voice calls will be allowed between Jio and Jio customers tomorrow and pulled back later,” further adds the report.

The Mukesh Ambani-led company was earlier said to end the free 4G services on April 15, but they haven't discontinued them yet. Customers were told to recharge with either the Rs. 309 plan or Rs. 509 plan to continue the free 4G services, post-April 15.

Several users from April 15 are complaining that they are getting 1GB of 4G data under the Happy New Year offer, along with 2GB of data for recharging with the Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer or the Summer Surprise offer. The confusion should end here as Jio is upgrading their systems from the last two days and now they are looking to discontinue the 4G services from tonight.

Furthermore, the report also states that the discontinuation will be carried out in phases, which means that some can still enjoy the free 4G services in coming days as well.

To recall, Reliance Jio on March 31 announced the Jio Summer Surprise offer which extends the validity of Happy New Year for another three months at just Rs. 303 and Rs. 499. However, TRAI asked Jio to pull back the offer due to the violation of terms and conditions and the company then came with Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer with benefits of same Jio Summer Surprise offer along with almost similar price tag.
