Kaushik, this is in reply to your question @Kiran, just that you stated about the network I want to share something. Just question your inner conscience and answer yourself after reading. Experience: BSNL tried for tower space in a specific Government land and being a Govt operator they couldn’t even able to get it. The same way with Airtel, they tried for 7 years and after a lot of follow-ups and rejected approvals they gave up. But within no time the so-called disruptive operator got approval and planted a tower in the same area which BSNL requested for. What do… Read more »

It’s got to do with rentals. Jio has a blanket arrangement for setting up towers and was earlier throwing very good money to achieve the Prime tenancy spots. I remember back in 2015 that Jio used to give signal on my 4g device. It had 3 and 40 support. I didn’t know that Jio will be going with band 5 and thought they’ll go for band 20. I dunno what you mean by Arterial coverage. Is it coverage along the tracks and roads?

Hi Kiran, thanks for the input. But I do not remember asking you this question. I am aware there is at least one other user with same name as me, so I hope he will reply here.

In my locality the reverse is true, only Airtel has the approval to set up a tower and not BSNL or Jio.

It’s better to write name and surname to avoid confusion about same user names.
