Reliance Jio Brings Per GB Cost Down to Lowest of Rs 1.77 With Double Dhamaka Offer

Reliance Jio has introduced a new offer in the market which has given a reason for the other telcos to be anxious. With this new Jio Double Dhamaka Offer the telco has brought down the per GB cost of data down to Rs 1.77 which is the lowest in the industry till date. The offer which has been rolled out nationwide for all users, for a limited time period adds 1.5GB of additional data to their existing Jio plan. With this offer, Reliance Jio brings down the cost of per GB to Rs 1.77 with the Rs 149 plan.

Jio-double Dhamaka Offer

Speaking about the offer, the Mukesh Ambani led telco said that it’s rolling out these new plans to stay on the path of Everyday More Value (EDMV), a promise which the company made during the launch of its services. With this new offer the plans by Reliance Jio which bundle 1.5GB data per day tariff and cost Rs 149, Rs 349, Rs 399 and Rs 449 now offer 3GB data per day. The 2GB data per day plans costing Rs 198, Rs 398, Rs 448 and Rs 498 will now bundle 3.5GB high speed data daily.

The 3GB data per day plan of Rs 299 now offers 4.5GB data per day for 28 days, while the Rs 509 and Rs 799 plan now provide 5.5GB and 6.5GB 4G data benefit per day. Do make a note that the validity of the plans remains the same.

On top of the additional data benefit, Jio is also providing an additional Rs 100 discount on all recharges of Rs 300 and above and 20% discount on recharges below the Rs 300 price point. Do make a note that the recharges should be done through MyJio app and the payment method should be PhonePe.

Along with the discount offer, the Rs 149 tariff plan will effectively come down to Rs 120 and at that rate, no operator is providing such benefit of 3GB data per day for 28 days. The Rs 399 pack comes down to Rs 299, and it gives 3GB data benefit per day for 84 days. Do make a note that the recently introduced Holiday Dhamaka offer is still applicable to the Rs 399 plan and the Rs 100 discount is part of the same.

As mentioned, this additional data offer is valid between June 12 to June 30.

@Girish, I agree with your logic and if I extend your logic a bit further, we should also be thanking Airtel and other private players as before telecom was privatised BSNL would take days and weeks and months to give a phone connection. With private players coming about actually lifted the whole communication in the country and bridged a huge gap and connected the country which couldn’t have been possible by the Govt telco. Am a satisfied Airtel and Voda user.

In MP they were deploying Band 40 on all sites and initially they started CA on Band 3 10 Mhz and Band 40 20 Mhz and i got 4G+ on my handset and speeds were over 120 Mbps but they have now disabled CA. Even their 3G is displayed as 4G+ on my Note8

Hey Nitin, I commented on your youtube vid regarding band 40-40CA. It’s sad that Jio hasn’t implemented 4CA.

@nitin, @kiran, reason Jio has not activated band 40-40 ca because they were informed by dot that harmonisation will be starting soon and 20+10 mhz will be harmonized to 30mhz. Process already started 3 weeks back. Band 40 speeds will be increased… Airtel has stopped band 40-40 ca in Karnataka
