Finally, the Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular version is coming to the Indian market. And of course, if something new comes up, telecom operators are the first ones to grab the attention. The same applies to Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular version as well. Airtel has just announced that the Apple Watch Series 3 will be available on Airtel Online Store and the much-awaited Watch can be used on Airtel's 4G network. Reliance Jio also announced that customers could pre-book the Apple Watch on its Jio.com, Reliance Digital and Jio Stores across the country, but the Mukesh Ambani's telco has introduced a slew of new things for the Apple Watch Series 3. Both Airtel and Jio will start taking pre-registrations for the Apple Watch on May 4, while the shipping starts from May 11.

Speaking about the perks of using Apple Watch Series 3 on Jio's network, the telco has introduced a new service called “JioEverywhereConnect.” With this new service, Jio users can use the same Jio number on both the phone and Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular. And another benefit is Jio users using the Apple Watch Series 3 will not need to carry a phone to make phone calls or use internet and apps.

Under the JioEverywhereConnect service, the telco will be providing same Jio number for two devices (for the iPhone and Apple Watch Series 3) without any additional charges and at the price of one subscription.

Speaking about other details, the pre-booking of the Apple Watch Series 3 on Jio stores will start on May 4 and for the users who pre-book the Watch with a Jio connection will receive the watch on priority because the stocks of the Watch Series 3 Cellular version will be pretty limited initially. Also, Jio will be delivering the product to the customer's doorstep, where the watch and the Jio service (including Mobile Number Portability) will be completely set up by the company itself.

The primary question which pops up in your mind after hearing this would be: Are we required to recharge separately on the iPhone number and Apple Watch Series 3 number? No, as Reliance Jio will not charge anything additional for the JioEverywhereConnect service, where the subscriber's Jio number doubles up and works on both the devices. So a single tariff plan will be enough for both the devices. And yes, users will get completely 4G service on Jio network. Airtel is also offering 4G network support.

Speaking about the Apple Watch Series 3, it was introduced way back in September 2017, but only the Wi-Fi variants were launched in the Indian market earlier. The base variant of the Apple Watch Series 3 is priced at Rs 29,900 in India. It has a dual-core processor and new wireless chip inside to make the connectivity process faster. The Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular variant features water resistance and a barometric altimeter that measures relative elevation. As stated, it comes in two models, one with GPS and cellular, and one with GPS.
