Reliance Jio, the 4G telecom operator, is constantly making efforts to sweeten its offerings for existing over 100 million customers and potential new customers even before its Prime plans go live on April 1, 2017.
In the wake of recent promotional offers by incumbents like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular to counter Jio’s prime offer, the Mukesh Ambani-led telco has on Friday launched a buy one get one free offer to provide additional benefits to customers recharging with Rs 303, Rs 499 and above before March 31.
Jio’s prime customers recharging with Rs 303 will get an add-on of Rs 201 which will give 5 GB free data. Similarly, customer recharging with Prime Rs 499 and above plan will get a free add-on of Rs 301 which gives 10 GB of free data.
To enrol in Jio Prime, existing Jio customers will have to pay Rs 99 as one-time fee. Jio users can enrol for the Prime Membership using MyJio app or Jio.com. They can also walk in to any of the Reliance Retail Stores for the enrolment. The 4G telco recently revised its non-prime plans to offer more data benefits to its customers. These plans too will be applicable from April 1, 2017.
Reliance Jio prepaid users will be able to choose from daily, monthly and year-long plans, ranging from Rs 19 to Rs 9,999. Jio’s post-paid users will have three plans to choose from once free service ends.
Reliance Jio is also offering booster packs that allow customers to get extra data in case they run out of data limit under any plan. Jio’s boosters packs start from Rs 11 for 0.1 GB of high speed data. The telco’s highest booster pack costs Rs 301 for 10 GB thereby costing around Rs 30 per GB.
