Xiaomi is pushing a new stable update to the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India which brings a ton of improvements to the rear and front-facing cameras. The new MIUI V10.2.8.0.PFHINXM is currently rolling out to the Redmi Note 7 Pro users in India in a phased manner and it will reach your phone over this week. Xiaomi also revealed the complete changelog of this update which shows that it brings major improvements to the cameras, system and a single bug fix. The update weights just over 200MB if it reaches your phone via over-the-air (OTA). Alternatively, you can sideload the recovery ROM by manually downloading it via MIUI Forums.

Redmi Note 7 Pro MIUI Changelog Detailed

After the MIUI update, users will be able to see sharpness improvements in both 48MP and 12MP camera modes of the rear camera. Xiaomi also fixed the portrait mode underexposure issue alongside adding improvements to low-light images and indoor auto white balance shots. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is already the best camera phone to buy under Rs 20,000, and with Xiaomi constantly rolling out software updates to the phone, it will only get better going forward.

There are some system stability fixes as well. Firstly, Xiaomi fixed the issue where the screen will not light up using gestures and it also optimised screen brightness issue which several users complained about on social media portals. The update also brings March 2019 security patches to the handset, not the latest ones, but it’s good to see Xiaomi providing at least previous month’s security patches.

Lastly, Xiaomi has fixed the call-time bubble overlapping issue with notification icons. As noted, the update is being rolled out to Redmi Note 7 Pro users in India in a phased manner and it will reach every user over the next few days.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Goes on Open Sale in India

Xiaomi launched three devices in India this year- the Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro and the Redmi Go. Initially, all the three phones were available via flash sales, but now, the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Go phones are made available via open sale which is a good thing to see. Starting today, the Redmi Note 7 goes on open sale in India and it can be purchased across both the offline and online portals.

The Redmi Note 7 comes in two variants- one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the other one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The base variant is priced at Rs 9,999 where the premium variant can be purchased for Rs 11,999. The Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, is still available via flash sales only.
