With the OnePlus 7 priced so aggressively around the world, the focus is now shifting towards affordable flagship phones from brands like Asus, Poco and Xiaomi. There's no news about the Poco F2 now, but Xiaomi's other sub-brand Redmi is making all the headlines thanks to its upcoming Redmi K20 smartphone. The OnePlus 7 will be a flagship smartphone from the company and it's already teased to reach Indian market sometime after its launch in China. Redmi has now released a series of teasers on Chinese microblogging portal Weibo which confirms few more features the smartphone will come with. Going by the new teasers, the Redmi K20 will offer a 3.5mm headphone jack and will ship with Game Turbo 2.0 technology which allows users to have disturbance-free gaming experience.

Redmi K20 New Features Revealed by the Company

The official Redmi Weibo account has confirmed new features on the Redmi K20. The smartphone will offer Game Turbo 2.0, DC Dimming, 3.5mm headphone jack and Hi-Res Audio certification to deliver a better experience to the customers. Game Turbo 2.0 feature comes as an upgrade to Game Turbo for MIUI that was introduced on the Poco F1. Redmi did not reveal the complete set of features which are added to Game Turbo 2.0.

Redmi K20 will also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack which has now become a rarity on smartphones. The Redmi K20 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and up to 8GB of RAM; With such powerful hardware on board, having a 3.5mm headphone jack will be a delight for all those who're waiting for the smartphone.

Other confirmed features of the Redmi K20 include a gradient back, triple rear cameras with the primary one being the Sony IMX586 chipset, 4000mAh battery and MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. The phone will reportedly gain support for Android Q Beta right after the launch.

Redmi K20 India Launch Details

Right after the OnePlus 7 series launch on May 14, Xiaomi India took to Twitter confirming that the Redmi K20 will make its way to the market. Xiaomi is teasing the Redmi K20 as 'Flagship Killer 2.0' hinting at an affordable price tag. Last year, Xiaomi disrupted the market with its Poco F1 smartphone as the handset offered Snapdragon 845 chipset at a starting price of Rs 20,999.

This is the first time Xiaomi is launching a flagship smartphone under the Redmi brand, and it's good to see the company bringing the phone to the Indian market as well. The Redmi K20 will be officially launched in China on May 28 and pre-orders for the smartphone began today. Indian launch details are awaited, but we're sure, Xiaomi will launch it very soon in the country to directly compete with the OnePlus 7.
