The Redmi K20 Pro is going to be one of the biggest launches by Xiaomi this year in India. The phone is bound to launch tomorrow, and a lot of fans of the brands are waiting for it. However, just hours ahead of the launch of this phone, the brand has teased a new variant of this device on its social media handles. This new variant of the Redmi K20 Pro comes with a premium back finish and seems to have a gold back. It was last month when the Chinese smartphone brand had launched the Redmi K20 Pro Explorer programme in the country to provide select users with early access to the phone.

Ultra Premium Redmi K20 Pro With Gold Back

This new image posted by Redmi India on its official Twitter handle has been announced to come with a Rs 4,80,000 price tag thus confirming that the phone will really come clad in gold. The image reveals the gold back of the phone slightly along with a diamond logo on the rear side which reads the alphabet “K”. Xiaomi India Managing Director and Global VP also said on Twitter that this version of the Redmi K20 Pro is “something out of the world.”

Now although Xiaomi has teased this new variant of the Redmi K20 Pro to the public on Twitter, it has not yet made clear whether or not it will be for sale alongside the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro regular variants or it will simply be put up for display. Not only this, but there has also been no news about the specifications about this new variant of the Redmi K20 Pro. Up until now, Xiaomi has been known to launch affordable smartphones in all its markets, but with what has been teased by the company it is likely that the brand might join the league of Apple and Samsung who often launch ultra-premium variants of their smartphones for the uber-wealthy. It is also expected that the gold option of the Redmi K20 Pro might be a gesture to commemorate its fifth anniversary in India. The country had entered India back in July 2014 with its Mi 3 phone.

Specifications and Features of Redmi K20 Pro

The Redmi K20 Pro sports a 6.39-inch Full HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Super AMOLED panel with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 91.9% screen-to-body ratio. The device comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and also supports the DC dimming feature. When it comes to performance, the Redmi K20 Pro sports an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with Adreno 640 GPU and up to 8GB of RAM.

The Redmi K20 Pro also boasts of flagship-level camera performance owing to a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.75 lens, a 13MP secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens, and a third 8MP sensor with an f/2.4 lens. On the front, the phone comes with a 20MP pop-up selfie camera. The Redmi K20 Pro offers up to 256GB of internal storage, and it packs a 4,000mAh battery pack with 27W fast charging support.
