Oppo is also a Chinese phone maker, and the tech industry already knows that these companies share resources with each other. But going foward, things will become even more formalised, and Realme will become a subsidiary of Oppo. This happened with OnePlus as well. These companies have their respective targets.

OnePlus aims to sell premium devices and capture the market online first. At least that is what was the initial goal of the company. OPPO is primarily there to sell offline, in competition with other brands such as Vivo. OPPO also sells heavily through online retailers, but it is more massy brand with super affordable devices launching every few months for the offline market.
As for Realme, the company aims to become a dominant player in the semi-premium segment. The recent launch of the Realme 16 Pro series also highlights the same thing. These companies all have a large user base, and have become a household name in India. OnePlus had a very promising start, but in the last few years, has seen its market share shrinking. All of these brands not only sell in China and India, but are also focusing on the global markets such as Europe and North America.

OnePlus for instance, had a launch event in New York back in 2022 for the OnePlus 10T. Since then, the brand has held events in different parts of the world to attract new consumers, and tap into newer markets. OPPO and Realme are also selling in other countries and what's interesting here to note is that all three phone companies mentioned here come under BBK Electronics. Major smartphone retailer Vivo is also under BBK Electronics only.
