Entered in India not so long ago, Realme has sold a good number of smartphones in the country. The Oppo sub-brand has launched a total of four smartphones in India, starting with the Realme 1, then the Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro and the Realme C1. Within just a month after launching the Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1, looks like the company is gearing up to launch its next smartphone in the country. The company on Friday tweeted that it is going to be the first brand to launch a phone with the newly announced Helio P70 chipset.
So far, Realme has designed pretty decent smartphones, in fact, the Realme 2 Pro is one the best phones for its price tag in India right now. With its next smartphone, the company is planning to set another milestone by being the first smartphone brand in India and also globally to come with MediaTek's newly launched Helio P60 successor aka Helio P70.
As of now, there is no information regarding the upcoming Realme smartphone, but to recall, at the launch of the Realme 2 Pro, the company had said that it would launch its next smartphone before the end of this year. This means the next phone from Realme can come in either November or December.
Could Be the Realme 1 Successor
Besides the chipset, what is also confirmed about the next Realme phone is that it is going to be the successor to the company's first ever smartphone, the Realme 1, which was powered by Helio P60 chipset.
The Realme 1 was a pretty decent phone, and one of the best aspects about the phone was its performance. This also hints that the successor to the Realme 1 is also going to be a fast device. As far as the specifications are concerned, nothing is known about the upcoming Realme phone. But, as for the pricing, considering the Realme 1 is a budget segment phone, it will be fair to expect its successor to almost have the same price tag. The Realme 1 was launched in India for Rs 8,999.
MediaTek Helio P70 SoC: Features
