Poco F1 Receives Official Android Pie Beta via MIUI 10 8.11.15

Xiaomi has finally released an open beta build of MIUI 10 based on Android Pie for the Poco F1. The update comes in the form of the MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.11.15 build to the users. With the coming of this update, the Poco F1 will get all Android 9 Pie features including the new navigation gestures, adaptive battery, adaptive brightness, improved security features, Digital wellbeing, among other things.

The Poco F1 was launched with Android Oreo-based on MIUI 9.6. But at the launch event, the company promised to upgrade the phone to the latest MIUI 10. Living up to the promise, Poco F1 users have received the MIUI 10 features. The MIUI 10 brings a range of new features to the Poco F1, including the MIUI Calendar, new navigation gestures, Picture-in-picture, Autofill support, security improvements, improved screen recording and more.

Meanwhile, Poco India has confirmed to bring the Android 9 Pie to the Indian users as well. Very recently, Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 build was leaked from the closed beta programme, but that build was unstable as we installed it on our Poco F1. But now, the Global Beta version is out, but sadly, one can install it only via Fastboot method, which will be a cumbersome process. Having said that, Xiaomi might release a Recovery ROM of the new MIUI 10 8.11.15 in the next couple of days.
