Paytm has always tried to interact with users and in the latest move, the digital payments platform has stated that it will start displaying Live IPL 2018 scores in the official Paytm application, not the Paytm Mall app. If you want to check out this feature, head over to Google Play Store and download the latest version of Paytm or update to the latest version to get the IPL 2018 score updates right on your home screen. Post the Indian Premier League 2018; the app will display the scores of domestic and international tournaments. Also, Paytm stated that the feature, for now, is limited to Android devices, but it will be soon launched in iOS app as well.
This is not the first activity Paytm is doing for this IPL as the company has already partnered with IPL teams Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab to sell their IPL tickets online. Paytm is currently selling the Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils match tickets on its platform along with some cashback offers. "Cricket is a religion in our country. Every cricket fan wants to stay abreast with the latest scores and updates. This is the reason why we are excited to offer live cricket score updates through our mobile app. With this new feature, millions of Paytm users can follow their favourite team and get instant score updates on any ongoing cricket match, without using any other app for it," said Kiran Vasireddy, COO - Paytm, in a statement while announcing the new experience.
Speaking about the newly introduced feature, the Live Cricket score will be a real-time one and sadly, it seems like the app doesn't provide any detailed scorecard and commentary except the live score. The details are divided into runs, wickets and over details of both the teams.
As mentioned, this feature is currently made available only for the Android application. Paytm has over 250 million users under its belt and all the users can see live scores with the latest version of the app.
