Panasonic Toughbook FZ-T1 and Toughbook L1 Launched in India: Specifications, Pricing

Slowly and steadily, Panasonic is marking its presence in the Indian smartphone market. The company recently launched the Panasonic Eluga A4 with 5000mAh battery launched in India for a starting price of Rs 12,490. The company has now launched two new handheld Toughbooks in India on Thursday. Panasonic has launched Toughbook FZ-T1 and Toughbook L1 in India on Thursday for a starting price of Rs 60,000 without tax. The company, however, says that the price of these Toughbooks will go up based on customisations. Both the Panasonic Toughbook FZ-T1 and Toughbook L1 are launched targeting the people who work on smartphones and need a rugged device to do their job in an efficient manner. Both the Panasonic Toughbook FZ-T1 and Toughbook L1 are basically used for taking orders, shelf stocking, logistical record keeping, among others.

Panasonic Toughbook FZ-T1 and Toughbook L1: Specifications and Features

First let's talk about the Toughbook FZ-T1. This model is much slimmer and comes with a 5-inch display. Both the Toughbooks are said to be pretty durable. The Toughbook FZ-T1 comes packed with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and includes 10-point multitouch. This model of the Toughbook comes with support for rain sensing, glove touch mode. Not just that, it can also accept passive pen input. On the software front, the Toughbook FZ-T1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Additionally, the device also comes integrated with a barcode scanner which will let users scan barcodes easily.

On the hardware front, the Toughbook FZ-T1 is powered by a quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.1GHz. The device comes paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Panasonic further says that the Toughbook can also connect to resource management systems and databases and is designed to MIL-STD810G standards. This model of the Toughbook comes with an IP68 rating and Panasonic claims that it can withstand a 5 feet drop.

On the other hand, the Toughbook L1 comes with a bigger 7-inch display with 1280x720 pixel resolution and also supports 10-point capacitive multi-touch. This model also comes with rain sensing and glove mode. On the hardware front, the Toughbook L1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

Panasonic Eluga A4

Panasonic recently launched the Panasonic Eluga A4 for a starting price tag of Rs 12,490. The smartphone comes packed with a 5.2-inch HD (720p) display and is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The Panasonic Eluga A4 comes with a 13MP camera on the rear panel and a 5MP selfie camera on the front.
