Panasonic has come up with yet another smartphone with 4G VoLTE in its P series, dubbed as the Panasonic P77. The device is priced at Rs. 6,990 and it will be up for sale through physical stores all over India. It will be available in White and Grey colour options.
The Panasonic P77 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by 1GHz quad-core chipset. It sports an 8-megapixel primary camera with LED flash along with a 2-megapixel selfie camera. One of the major drawbacks in the P77 is that it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Going by the device's pricing, we think that Panasonic needs to strategise well before pricing its device as at the same price tag; the Xiaomi Redmi 3S is a better choice for buyers.
Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said,"We continue to focus on all the segments of mobile phones with different price points and value proposition. We are pleased to offer the new P77 with 4G VoLTE technology to our Indian customers at an affordable price of Rs. 6990. With this device, we reassure our commitment to offer better design & quality products to our valued customers. With the new launches, we are looking to gain more than 200% percent growth over the corresponding period last year. This year the company expects Rs 600 crore INR sales this festive season. By aggressively expanding distribution network and launching more phone models."
