Panasonic Eluga Ray 700 With 4G VoLTE, MediaTek MTK6753 SoC to Launch in India Very Soon

Panasonic India is all set to launch two new smartphones in India in coming days. Recently, the Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 was listed online, and now, the Eluga Ray 700 is spotted on the Indian e-commerce website Flipkart. The Eluga Ray 500 was listed with dual rear cameras, but the Eluga Ray 700 is a different smartphone altogether.

The Eluga Ray 700 is listed for Rs. 9,999, which could be the launch price of the smartphone. The smartphone, for now, has a tag of coming soon, and Flipkart will start selling the device from September 21. So, most likely, both the Eluga Ray 500 and Eluga Ray 700 will launch on September 21.

Speaking about the specifications of the Eluga Ray 700, it features a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1080 pixels. It is an IPS LCD display, not an AMOLED one. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6753 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.

This dual SIM smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Panasonic also added a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and compass. Optics wise, the Eluga Ray 700 offers a single 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Up front, there's a 13MP selfie camera which also comes with an LED flash.

The smartphone measures 8.9mm in thickness and weigh 182 grams. Backing this entire package is a 5000mAh battery. As said earlier, the Eluga Ray 500 also spotted online recently. It was listed for Rs. 8,999, and said to feature a dual camera setup at the back. A 13MP primary sensor, coupled with an 8MP secondary sensor.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MTK6737 SoC, which works in tandem with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This device has support for 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It also comes laden with Android 7.0 Nougat and has a 4000mAh battery.
