OxygenOS 9.0.1 Starts Reaching OnePlus 5 and 5T Users Delivering Bug Fixes and Optimisations

The update which was previously released for the OnePlus flagship phone, the OnePlus 6T is now being released for the previous generation OnePlus phones, the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T. These phones by OnePlus have started receiving the OxygenOS 9.0.1 update. Notably, this update has been released for the phones right after the OxygenOs 9.0.0 update for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, and the update has been pushed mainly to fix the bugs which were brought on board by the previous firmware along with some improvements. The new update also brings optimisations for sRGB display and also improves the stability of Wi-Fi on the device. Also, it is worth noting that like it is the case with other OnePlus software updates, the OxygenOS 9.0.1 is being pushed to the users incrementally.

Stable Wi-Fi, 4G Toggle Switch and More Improvements

The rollout of the OxygenOS 9.0.1 was announced by an official OnePlus forum post, and the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T users will be incrementally receiving the update meaning that the update will be rolled out in phases. Also, the method of the update will be Over the Air (OTA) which the usual way for OnePlus. The new update brings the fix for the 4G toggle which went missing after the latest OxygenOS update. Some users also spotted problems of random restarts while using the screencasting feature on the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T units; the newest update also solves that issue. Like we mentioned above, the new OxygenOs 9.0.1 also brings on improved stability for WiFi, sRGB optimisation and some optimisation for the Reading Mode as well.
