Oppo Introduces 4GB RAM Variant of Realme 1 in Solar Red Colour

Realme, the online-exclusive brand of Oppo India has introduced the Solar Red colour option of Realme 1’s 4GB RAM variant. Until now, the 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage variant is available in two colours- Silver and Diamond Black, but from July 3, the same variant will be available in Solar Red colour option too. Realme stated that the new colour option has been introduced on special demand from the customers. Interested people can head over to Amazon (because the Realme 1 is exclusive to Amazon in India) and purchase the new colour variant for Rs 10,990. Notably, the other two colour options are also available for the same price. The Oppo Realme 1 can be purchased in three variants- one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage priced at Rs 8,990 and the other one’s 4GB RAM variant with 64GB of internal storage. Lastly, we have a premium 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage, priced at Rs 13,990.

The premium variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is available in two colours- Diamond Black and Solar Red. Oppo introduced the Realme sub-brand during the start of May 2018 and launched the Realme 1 during mid-May. The 4GB RAM variant of the Realme 1 was launched last month at an attractive price of Rs 10,990.

Oppo Realme 1 Specifications
The Realme 1 is the powerful smartphone in its price range, beating the likes of Redmi Note 5, Honor 9 Lite and others because it’s powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 SoC. The smartphone boasts a 6-inch Full HD+ display on the front, carrying a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. As mentioned, the phone comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.

To achieve the lower price tag, Oppo has sacrificed some of the key features such as the metallic build and fingerprint scanner. The phone is constructed entirely out of plastic and weighs 155 grams. This dual 4G smartphone also offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS and a Micro USB port for data transfer & charging. The Realme 1 comes with custom skin ColorOS layered on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Instead of the fingerprint scanner, the Realme 1 comes with Face Unlock option which is the fastest one in this price range.

Other features in the smartphone include a 13MP rear camera, 8MP selfie camera and a 3410mAh battery.

Battery life is outstanding on this device with two Jio Sims on. Easily lasts for a day with Six hours of SOT. Camera is subpar.

OK so I purchased it yesterday. 6Gb version. It is showing CA is available but I guess it’s not available here at this place where I am staying at the moment. Hopefully in Bhopal i guess it will be available with Jio. I can see the internet speed of jio has slightly increased from earlier 0.15 mbps to now 2 mbps avg may be because of the 4g band selection in realme (850 earlier to 1800 now) , where as airtel at the same place is providing me 10 mbps (1800 mhz) and idea 6 Mbps (1800 mhz) .

The device is a real beast when it comes to performance or day to day use . Camera is average Music is unbelievably amazing through some good quality earphones . Though net monster app is showing carrier aggregation but in real there is no carrier aggregation available on it . May be they have not enabled it or may be the band’s enabled are different than that of what we have in India . At places where my friends can enjoy 4g+ on jio , I am left with 20KBps speed on realme 1 . Irony!!!! Battery backup is one… Read more »

I have a oneplus 3t and vivo x21.. They both support CA but not on indian 4g bands… I was looking for a device that doesn’t cost me a fortune but supports 4g+ … So I have 2 options lyf f1s and oppo f7… But I read it somewhere that realme1 supports LteA… I was a bit skeptical about it as many mentioned that it doesn’t and only you and wikipedia mentioned about the LteA support.
