The OnePlus 6 is launching on May 16 as the company has already confirmed this news. The first sale of the device will happen on May 21 on Amazon India, however, the company has now announced pop-up events across eight Indian cities between May 21 and May 22. Users can head over to any of these pop-up events and purchase the OnePlus 6 over the two days, but the availability clearly depends on a first-come-first-serve basis. Not only in India, across the globe, the OnePlus pop-up events will be held in New York, London, Paris, Milan and Beijing. Alongside India, the OnePlus pop-up events are set to open globally in the United States, China and Europe. Ahead of general open sales, pop-up attendees will be the first ones in the world to be able to buy the new OnePlus 6.
As expected, stocks will be limited, and as with the OnePlus 6, members purchasing the smartphone will get additional OnePlus goodies during the pop-up event. “Since the OnePlus 2, we’ve held pop-ups for our new product launches in cities around the world, with hundreds of people turning up every time at each of them,” said OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. “It’s incredible to experience the passion and the excitement of our community during pop-ups, it’s a real celebration. I am very thankful for all of their support and the motivation they bring to us,” he further added.
In India, the OnePlus 6 pop-ups will take place between 3:30 PM to 8 PM on May 21, and between 11 AM to 7 PM on May 22. The pop-up events will be held across Mumbai-High Street Phoenix, Pune-Phoenix MarketCity, Chennai-The Forum Vijaya, Hyderabad-The Forum Sujana, Delhi-DLF Place Saket, Kolkata-South City Mall, Ahmedabad-Gulmohar Park Mall and Bangalore-OnePlus Experience Store, Brigade Road.
The OnePlus 6 will be launched in India on May 17 at a grand event in Mumbai. The entry vouchers to attend the launch event will be available via oneplus.in from 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. The OnePlus 6 is confirmed to feature a Super AMOLED 19:9 display on the front, Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM & 256GB of internal storage, dual rear cameras, glass back, waterproofing and runs the OxygenOS out of the box.
